As we enter October, the temperatures are falling and the days are getting shorter, bringing with them all the wonderful family-friendly October events we look forward to every year!
For 2025, we are including a list of pumpkin patches and some Spooky Halloween Festivals for those looking for more of a scare!
Pumpkin Patches
Deluca Farm, located at the corner of Western Ave and 9th St in San Pedro offers games, pumpkins, farm animals, and other activities for the family!
Service to start Oct 3th – 30th daily from 9 am to 9 pm. Note that parking (paid) can be an issue on weekends and closer to the end of the month.

Mr. Jack O’ Lantern’s Pumpkin Patch | Torrance, CA
Mr. Jack O’ Lantern’s Pumpkin Patch has several locations, but this would be specifically for the patch in Torrance. This patch offers tons of activities such as pumpkin decorating, pumpkin bowling, photo stations, animal feeding, bouncy house and more. One awesome thing about this patch is it offers FREE PARKING!
Mr. Jack O’ Lantern’s Pumpkin Patch is now open from 11 am – 8 pm Mon-Thu, and 10 am – 9 pm Fri – Sun.

Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch | Culver City, CA
Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch in Culver City is one of the better in-city pumpkin patches in the area. This pumpkin patch features loads of pumpkins, wagons for strolling your pumpkins (or munchkins) around the patch, a petting zoo, and even a small maze! Aside from the loads of photo stations, you will have with all the cutely decorated structures, there is also face painting, pumpkin decorating, a bounce house, and food trucks.

Honorable Mention: Irvine Railorad Park | Irvine, CA
Although it is obviously located outside of the South Bay, the Irvine Railroad Park provides a fantastic pumpkin patch in the fall. Complete with an actual 1/3rd scale electric powered Locomotive that runs through the beautiful Irvine Regional Park!
Attractions include a wide variety of photo stations, pumpkins, games, pony rides, bike/ boat rentals, and much more! Parking is paid but typically plentiful, though it can take a long time to actually get into the park if you arrive during peak times.

Halloween Festivals
The Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor | Long Beach
Dark Harbor is Southern California’s most haunted Halloween event!
Each fall the Queen Mary transforms the ship and surrounding harbor into a massive Halloween festival featuring haunted mazes, hundreds of monsters, immersive attractions, live entertainment, VIP experiences, themed bars and lounges, carnival rides, festive eats and treats, instagrammable moments and more!
